Oaksey Life
Today All Saints church looks out over the well-kept village cricket ground with the local cricket team often in residence. Also overlooking the cricket field is the newly built Village Hall, which was a Millennium Project built with funds provided from the National Lottery and opened by HRH The Prince of Wales in September 2000.
Steeped in history and heritage, the beautiful village of Oaksey
is a traditional Cotswold village unspoilt by modern life, set in
superb countryside, and right on the threshold of the village lies
Oaksey Park. At the centre of the village is the Wheatsheaf Inn
owned by a restaurateur with a flair for high quality, yet distinctive
and imaginative food. The Wheatsheaf offers city centre style, set
in an idyllic rural/village setting. The Oaksey residents are open
and friendly and you can enjoy an evening stroll through this lovely
Cotswold village or wander further afield to see just how much this
beautiful area has to offer.
